Getting Out of Your Comfort Zone

"Insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results." Albert Einstein

This quote is definitely true and could be used in every aspect of your life. For example, if you are attracting the same type of partner and the relationship always ends because of the same reason or you have a business, but your sells hasn’t increased in months or maybe you just hate going to that same job day in and day out. Well, sweatheart something has to change. You can’t expect to have a different result if you keep doing the same thing over and over again. Maybe you should date somebody outside your norm. Instead of just marketing your business on Facebook and Intagram, how about you start going to networking events. If you hate your job, then find what makes you happy and do it. Is it switching careers? Is the company? Figure it out and take that leap of faith and do something different.

The purpose of The Alisha Yolanda Experience is to help me achieve my ultimate goal of being an Entrepreneurial Motivational Speaker that travels all over the world. I’m sure you know by now that I enjoy motivating people to get up and start their businesses. Some people say that I may come off blunt, but I don't want to sugar-code anything. Again, these are just my experiences and thoughts, but I have seen them happen to other entrepreneurs as well.

My first idea was starting a blog. I was an accounting major and we used numbers NOT words. You may have seen typos or incorrect sentences while ready my post, but I’m doing something different. If you would have told me that I would become a published author, I would have laughed in your face! (Oh yeah, don't forget to purchase my workbook Bridging The Gap Between Hustler and Entrepreneur). Writing these blogs are definitely fulfilling to me as I am reaching more people than I have ever done before and I absolutely love the responses that I have been receiving.

My next idea was adding the vlog. I don’t like speaking in front of people and never have liked it and don’t think I ever will, but how can I become a motivational speaker with that mindset. I was the person that would skim over the paragraph before the class, just in case the teacher asked me to read out loud. I didn’t want to mess up on the easiest word just because I was nervous. Before I started the blog, I took a leadership role in my sorority (Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated - ALO) as a co-chairman. I knew that I would have to host committee meetings and speak in front of the chapter to give our monthly reports. This terrified me, but I did it and for two years! As for the vlog, no you all are not right in front of my face, but you are still there listening to me (I hope you are at least lol). All I am doing it practicing my skill so when the time does come for me to speak in front of a large group, I would be a little more at ease compared to not having any kind of practice.

These blogs and vlogs are sooo outside the norm for me as I am an introvert, but that will not stop me from being great.
